Asher’s Chocolates completed their new 108,000 square feet manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters in 1998. This $8.5 million completely new facility will take the place of their existing multi-structure facility in Northwest Philadelphia and their leased distribution center in Montgomeryville, PA. Over the last several years, Asher’s Chocolates has been developing plans for its new plant so that it can most effectively serve its customers throughout the U.S. Acquisition and land development issues surrounding the new 31 acre site in Franconia Township prolonged the planning process.

Some notable features of this facility include a truck bay for the bulk receiving of liquid chocolate, a two story office area, a customer observation corridor and direct sales area. WEBBER/SMITH Associates, Inc. of Lancaster, PA refined the initial layout and then completed the facility design. Thermal C/M Services of Lancaster oversaw all construction activities over the next 14 months.
