Lopez Foods (formerly known as "Normac")

WEBBER/SMITH performed complete design and construction management of this $23 million beef patty, sausage patty, and Canadian bacon process plant. This USDA inspected 124,000 square foot facility was completed in 1991. Thermal C/M was the construction manager for this facility.

Our team’s performance lead the customer to comment: "We believe that the success of this building project was a direct result of the many years of experience that WEBBER/SMITH and Thermal C/M Services has in building food processing facilities. We had only sixteen months to plan design, and build the entire facility. Thanks to WEBBER/SMITH and Thermal C/M Services, we were able to meet our time schedule and complete the project within budget. What could please an owner more?"

Segregation of product flow throughout the receiving, processing, cooking, chilling and packaging lines was very important. Ample welfare areas for employees were provided, along with sanitation facilities that encourage their use through the ease of their accessibility.
