Pocono Produce Company of Stroudsburg, PA recently completed their new 96,000 square feet distribution center. This completely new facility will take the place of their existing Fifth Street facility, originally constructed in 1952. This well known foodservice distributor is a member of the Frosty Acres buying group and the National Frozen Foods Association.

Over the last several years, Pocono Produce Company has been developing plans for its new storage and shipping systems so that it can most effectively serve its customers throughout the Northeast U.S. Acquisition and rezoning of the new 52 acre site one mile north on Fifth Street has prolonged the planning process. Employees and management of Pocono Produce Company have all found that utilization of the new facility has helped them to serve all of their customers more efficiently and thoroughly.

WEBBER/SMITH Associates, Inc. of Lancaster, PA developed the initial layout in response to an analysis of material handling needs and then completed the facility design. Norwood Construction of Allentown acted as General Contractor.
