The firm has worked throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Chile, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia. Areas of particular expertise include process engineering, GMP and Food safety, instrumentation/controls, ammonia refrigeration design, and overall familiarity with USDA, FDA, and 3A Dairy Standards.

In addition to the firm's in-house design capabilities, the company is supported by an affiliated entity, AE Design, Inc. Like WEBBER/SMITH, AE Design, Inc. focus exclusively on projects for the food industry. AE Design specializes in bakery, meat, poultry, seafood, beverage, prepared foods, fruits and vegetables, confection, grocery distribution, foodservice distribution and public cold storage facilities. AE Design currently provides architectural and/or engineering services in those states in which AE Design is Authorized.
