Senior Refrigeration Systems Specialist | Principal

Steve Shaub, Principal and Senior Refrigeration Systems Specialist, leads the firm’s Refrigeration Department. He manages projects on a day-to-day basis, overseeing our in-house refrigeration designers in the technical aspects of refrigeration work. Steve’s over 40 years’ experience includes the design of refrigeration systems, floor warming systems, and refrigeration control systems. His technical expertise includes the complex aspects of OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and the EPA’s Risk Management Program (RMP). Steve continues to play a leadership role in the refrigeration industry having served as National Board President and Chairman of the Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA). He holds CARO (Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator) credentials through RETA and remains an active participant in the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR). As a lecturer, he has discussed refrigeration design at conferences and delivered presentations on PSM/RMP standards regulating refrigeration systems.  Steve regularly travels to our clients’ offices and provides focused ammonia and PSM training tailored to each individual client.
